Experiment Weekend – Big Peeps
On the second night of Experiment Weekend, The City of Santa Barbara closed down the 400 and 500 blocks of State Street to traffic. During the day, there was basketball, drawing on large squares of paper, al fresco dining, and a host of other activities. As night descended, we brought in projection.
Along with Tai Rodrig, we set up a large green screen and, using a live camera and his programming wizardry, we live projected people as giants on a wall. Opposite we ran a movie about local folk we’d filmed the day before pretending to be giants.
